Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 12, 2026

At BlueWood Group, protecting your financial privacy is our highest priority. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, process, securely store, and disclose your personal and financial information when you apply for loans, open an account, or use our digital services. We strictly adhere to global financial data protection regulations and fair lending practices.

1. Information We Collect

To evaluate your creditworthiness and comply with anti-money laundering (AML) laws, we collect highly specific categories of personal data:

A. Identity and Contact Data

  • Full legal name, date of birth.
  • Current and historical residential and business addresses, email addresses, and telephone numbers.

B. Technical and Usage Data

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address, device identifiers, browser type, and operating system.
  • Log data regarding your interaction with our application forms to prevent fraud and bot activity.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your data strictly for legitimate financial and operational purposes:

  • Loan Origination: To verify your identity, assess your credit risk, and determine appropriate loan amounts and interest rates.
  • Regulatory Compliance: To comply with Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and counter-terrorist financing obligations.
  • Account Management: To process loan disbursements, collect repayments, and provide customer support.
  • Fraud Prevention: To detect, prevent, and investigate fraudulent applications or unauthorized account access.

Automated Decision-Making and AI

BlueWood Group utilizes automated risk assessment algorithms to evaluate loan applications efficiently. These algorithms analyze your Financial and Credit Data to predict repayment probability and assign interest rates. Your Rights: Under applicable financial regulations, you have the right to request a manual human review of any automated loan rejection. You may exercise this right by contacting our underwriting team.

3. Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We only share your information with trusted third parties strictly necessary to provide our financial services:

  • Credit Reference Agencies (CRAs): We report your loan application, approval status, and ongoing repayment history. Late payments or defaults will be reported and may negatively affect your credit score.
  • Identity Verification Partners: Specialized third parties used exclusively to cross-reference your submitted IDs against government databases to satisfy KYC laws.
  • Payment Processors: Secure banking networks required to disburse funds to your account and process automated monthly repayments.
  • Legal and Regulatory Authorities: We will disclose data if required by a court order, subpoena, or request from financial regulatory bodies.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data only for as long as is necessary, dictated by financial compliance laws. Our strict retention schedules are as follows:

  • Active Loan Accounts: Retained for the full duration of your active loan lifecycle.
  • Closed Accounts & Financial Records: Retained for a minimum of seven (7) years after the loan is fully repaid or the account is closed, as required by tax and financial auditing laws.
  • Rejected Applications: Retained for up to 24 months to handle appeals, prevent duplicate fraudulent applications, and defend against potential legal claims.
  • Customer Support Data: Transcripts and tickets are retained for up to 24 months for quality assurance and training.

5. Your Comprehensive Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you are entitled to the following rights regarding your personal and financial data:

  • Right to Access: You may request a copy of the personal and credit data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: You may request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You may request deletion of your data. Note: This right is heavily superseded by financial retention laws if you have an active or recently closed loan with us.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: You may ask us to temporarily halt processing your data under certain conditions (e.g., while disputing credit accuracy).
  • Right to Data Portability: You may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format to transfer to another financial institution.

6. Security of Your Personal Data

BlueWood Group employs bank-grade security infrastructure. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is secured using 256-bit TLS encryption. Financial documents and identity records are stored in heavily encrypted, access-controlled databases. While we utilize state-of-the-art protections, no internet-based system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
